The Surprising Reason Your Rice Turns Out Sticky And Gluey
One rinse changes everything, and you're probably skipping it.
Clumpy, gluey rice usually has nothing to do with your pot and everything to do with starch.

Dry rice is coated in loose surface starch. Toss it straight in the pan and that starch turns to paste, gluing the grains together.
Rinse the rice under cold water until it runs clear first. You're washing away the sticky coating before it ever cooks.
Then leave the lid on and don't stir while it steams. Fluff with a fork at the end and the grains fall apart cleanly.
