A Delivery Driver Left More Than A Parcel On One Doorstep. The Whole Street Found Out Weeks Later.
The camera caught what he did when he thought nobody was watching.
A delivery driver on his usual round noticed an elderly customer's overgrown, slippery path and a wheelie bin toppled by the wind. He set down the parcel, then did something the doorbell camera quietly recorded.
He righted the bin, cleared the wet leaves off the step, and rang twice to make sure the customer heard, waiting until the door opened to hand the parcel over with a smile before hurrying back to his van.
He thought nothing of it. But the customer's family checked the camera footage weeks later and saw the whole thing, the small unpaid kindnesses stacked into a thirty-second clip nobody was meant to see.
They shared it with the neighbours, and the street pooled together to thank him properly, with a card and a hamper waiting on his next round. He went bright red and said he was just doing his job. Nobody believed that for a second.
